My puppy's Giardia won't go away. What's the best way to treat it?

pup tested positive for coccidia at first vet visit at 13 wo. Treated with albon; tested negative at recheck but positive for giardia. Treated with pancur, as well as two older dogs, for 5 days. At 10 day recheck all dogs negative. One month later pup again positive for giardia; all dogs again treated with pancur. At this recheck, older dogs negative but pup still positive using ELISA. Older dogs negative. At a loss how to deal with this. Should puppy be on immune booster such as Vit C? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 6 months and 2 days old | 26.5 lbs

Hello, thank you for your question about Charley. Giardia can be very frustrating to treat and many puppies require multiple rounds of deworming to completely treat the infection. I suspect that she likely has a more resistant infection and not that she is immunocompromised. I would not recommend adding any supplements/immune boosters at this time. Hope this helps!
