My pet rat has respiratory infection symptoms. What's wrong?

Hi There... I have two white rats and lately one of them is not feeling well. She is being dull and lethargic. Also not eating properly. I showed to the vet here but they simply checked her temperature which was normal So they asked me to give syrup which I did for two days but it's not helping. I read online about the symptoms n found out that they are similar to respiratory infection. Like red fluid discharge near the eye, congested breathing, loss of appetite, growing weak and unusual smell. Pet's info: Other | Other Pet - Not Listed | Female | unspayed
