My dog's poop is hard, dry, black, and looks like ash. What's wrong?

My dog passed a stool that was very hard and VERY dry. It was black grey and white it looked exactly like ash, but she hasn’t eaten Althing out of the ordinary. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 40 lbs

I would encourage you to ensure that she is drinking enough water as that would be something that is easy to fix. You can also feed her canned diet which will have a higher water content for example. If no improvement is noted after ensuring enough water intake, I recommend you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. Best of luck!
