My Red Crowned Amazon keeps closing his eyes. Is he sick or hurt?

So my red crowned Amazon is constantly closing his eyes and he can't seem to keep them open for a long time what can I do to make him feel better or know if he is sick. Pet's info: Bird | Amazon | Male

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a allergy or infection. A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.
