My dog's seizures are increasing. Why did the vet raise his meds?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | unneutered | 67 lbs

My 10 year old boxer has been having seizures .. with meds he was doing fine until the last few weeks he has a 6 in total .. vet increased his meds 2 days ago but he had a seizure last night only for 2 seconds but I am concerned because befor he was only having 2 in 24 hours every 3 months as to why my vet increased his meds

I'm sorry Cesar is having seizures. If he has six seizures in total in the last few weeks, that would be why your vet increased the meds. It sounds like he had an increase in the incidence of seizures, and typically that is when a vet will increase medication to control them. If he had a seizure last night and it only lasted for two seconds, it sounds like the increase in medication may have helped. I hope this helps!
