Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 11 months old | 75 lbs
Mr Wilson has been having some gradual personality changes over the past few years, the most noteworthy of which include hours long panic attacks where he has wrecked dog crates in his attempt to bury himself under things that can potentially injure him. When I try to reassure him, he can sometimes become verbally aggressive, occasionally even trying to snap at me. I have had him checked by a vet. He hasn't displayed symptoms with them and his lab work is inconclusive. What could be wrong?

He may be developing a degree of canine cognitive dysfunction (senility). Yiu can discuss this with your veterinarian if medical causes ( illness or injury) have already been ruled out. A veterinary behavioral specialist may help you identify Mr. Wilson's triggers and then recommend exercises to reduce or eliminate them. Your veterinarian may be able to dispense medication that can also help. You can read more below. https://www.petcoach.co/article/cognitive-dysfunction-senility-in-dogs/
