Hamster has green diarrhea, sleeping more. What should I do?

My hamster nugget has been going diarrhea more than once every hour and I keep checking up on her and I’m always having to clean her up because it’s right around her private area and around her tail. It’s very liguidy and light green in color and she has always been sleeping more than normal she sleeps in the morning and at night and barley gets up now to eat or drink she normally is asleep during the day and then runs on her wheel at night but latley that hasn’t been the case. It sounds like Nugget may have a GI infection or other GI irritation ongoing that is causing her symptoms. Since she is having severe diarrhea and isn't improving with home treatment, it would be best to bring her into your vet. They can prescribe an antibiotic or other medication as needed to help. Keeping her bottom and any bedding clean and free from her stool can also help reduce irritation and the spread of any bacteria.
