Hello I’m writing you here to ask about my pet he’s a puppy that I got about two weeks ago and I’ve become worried about his stool recently sometimes blood will come out with the stool and sometimes he’ll have a normal stool. I did discover him eating a plastic knife the other day which I think it my have cut him on the way out. I don’t know how he got it from my kitchen I’m going to take him over to the vet but I want to know if this is an emergency he’s acting very normal and energetic

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Ares. If he ate a plastic knife, yes this could be the cause of the blood. It could also be intestinal worms, which are common in puppies. As long as he's eating and drinking, and otherwise behaving normally, it's not an emergency. He should be seen by vet for it, but it can wait until the morning. I hope this helps!
