We just got our 8 wk old pup last Monday. As adorable and fun she is; I am feeling anxious about everything! What are basic ways to tell a pup isn't feeling great? Puppies seem to sleep so much- how do I distinguish btw lethargic and lots of naps?

Congrats on your new puppy! It can be anxious getting a new puppy, and I get that. Puppies do sleep a lot, but you want to see periods of where Pepper is playing. She should be active and running around when awake. If she is slow moving, doesn't want to play, doesn't want to wake up, that is not normal. Also not eating, vomiting, and diarrhea are signs of being ill. If you see any of those signs, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

How is Pepper doing today? If she is still not herself then I recommend taking her to a veterinarian. She is young and small and puppies can get sick and decline quickly. If she is doing better she may have just been tired if they were playing with her a lot. I hope Pepper is feeling better and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
