Why is my cat having diarrhea after coming out of her heat cycle?

Eevee is coming out of her heat, but now she seems to have diarrhea. Is that normal for a kitten to get the runs after being in heat? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 15 days old | 4 lbs

It is not typical for a cat to develop diarrhea after going into heat. Diarrhea could be related to intestinal parasites, some infectious diseases, or a food sensitivity. If the diarrhea does not seem to resolve in the next day or two, if you are seeing blood or if it is very watery, or if Eevee begins vomiting or her appetite is decreased I'd recommend seeing your vet.
