My dog in heat is stressed. How can I calm her and my other dog?

My 3 year old AustrIlian shepherd is in heat she chases my 10 year old female border collie all over the house. Is there anything I can give my you get dog to help her through this? Heat cycles can change a pet's behavior. You can try over the counter calming formulas for dogs but many pets do not respond to them. Your veterinarian also carries sedatives that may help. Heavy exercise for both pets tends to help with undesirable behavior and keeping them separated until this passes.
