Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 16 days old | 3 lbs
My cat who is six weeks old and a boy hasn’t eaten since we got him. It’s been about 12 hours since we picked him up or drank anything but the people we got him from said they should be eating dry food now. So we got kitten food and crushed it up and his sister is eating and using the bathroom just fine but he won’t touch it. And his breath smells like something died. My question is, is 6 weeks old enough for dry food and should we be worried that his breath smells like he was eating poop?

I am concerned that there is something more going on with Morzule. At 6 weeks they can eat dry food. You can try some wet food but if he isn't eating still them I would get a check up on him. It may just be stress related but kittens can get sick and decline rapidly so making sure he is ok is important. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
