Why aren't my English bulldog's cloudy eyes improving after vet meds?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Female | spayed | 4 years and 3 months old

My english bulldog Has been keeping her eyes closed for a few days now her eye sockets seem to be twitching a lot she seems like she’s in pain we took her to the vet three days ago and they prescribed us two different types of eyedrops one to repair the cornea and one to help flush out her eye as well as an allergy medicine. I haven’t given her the drops twice a day in the allergy pill once every day and symptoms have not subsided whatsoever, she barely opened her eyes for me, now are cloudy

I recommend bringing Athena back to the veterinarian. Sometimes when they have ulcers that won't heal or become deep then other procedures need to be done to help them heal. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
