How to know when my pet's quality of life means it's time?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 years and 4 months old | 14 lbs

Dr. Melanie-Re Zac. Thank you. How do I know when to put him down? Still good QO, eating & drinking-good litterbox habits-not isolating-still purrs & loves rubbies, still plays w/ cat we rescued same time. How will we know

I'm glad to help you. I always recommend looking at quality of life when making a decision to put an animal to sleep. If Zac stops eating, stops drinking, becomes very lethargic, and/or appears painful, then it will be time to let him go. I hope this helps!
