My cat is on ranitidine. Is it safe for her liver and kidneys long-term?

Is ranitidine safe for long term use with cats? My cat has been on ranitidine for a year - 0.5 ml twice/day. She went on it for frequent (multiple times per day) vomiting. She is a lot better on the ranitidine. She doesn’t puke, eats more and seems more comfortable. I’m just worried about the effect the ranitidine will have on her liver and kidneys with long term use as we’d like to keep her on the medication.

Typically this medication is well tolerated long term. Any long term medication should be under the supervision of a veterinarian who has examined Missy and is familiar with her history and her heath, so talk to your vet about using it on a continual basis, but generally speaking it is considered safe for long term use.
