Why is my dog's dark poop mixed with yellow sesame seed-like bits?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 7 days old | 53.7 lbs

My dog is having weird type of stool. It is dark in color with yellow sesame seeds like stuff. What could possibly be causing it and how can I take care?

While the stool looks dark it does not look black and I think the color is a variation of normal. I think the other things look like millet bird seed or some other kind of plant material - it doesn’t look like any kind of parasite. I wouldn’t be concerned unless Aura develops diarrhea or is having trouble defecating.
