My cockatiel's poop is watery & smelly, but he seems healthy. Why?

My cockatiel has very watery, and smelly poops. We have him on a pellet diet and he seems healthy. He is also molting if that is relevant. Thank you so much. Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Male | unneutered | 18 years and 2 months old

Thanks for reaching out about Silva. Molting time is highly stressful and can lead to a diminished immune system, with possible secondary infections. Even though he appears healthy, a veterinary visit is recommended to examine him. Smelly feces can result in a bacterial enteritis, liver disease and a few other causes. Good luck.
