My dog has squishy bumps between her toes. What could they be?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 5 years and 3 months old | 65 lbs

My female boxer of 6 years old is starting to get small growths between her toes. Sometimes they pop open and bleed/clear liquid and then go away. But she has one that is a lot bigger and hasn’t popped. It’s not rock hard but it is firm and squishy. It doesn’t seem to bother her though

It looks like she has Interdigital furuncles/cysts which can be a chronic problem. You could soak her foot in a warm Epsom Salt solution and see if that helps but she might also need an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory to treat. Sometimes the lesions need to be surgically removed.
