My 3-month-old puppy won't eat when left alone. Is this normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 27 days old | 4.8 lbs

My dog is not eating when left alone (during the work day)!? Also she is not having any know accidents in the house when she left for a 8 hr work day; she is only 3 months old. Should we be concerned? She eats, drinks, ans uses the bathroom regularly when we are getting ready and once we’ve arrived back home.

I think you should be very pleased that lola is so well house trained. As long as she goes to the toilets and it seems normal I wouldn't worry about it. As for not eating she may be getting enough at breakfast and dinner. Potentially she could be playing up because you are out at work.
