My cat hit a glass door, has a nosebleed. Does she need a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 4 lbs

My cat ran into the slider after a bird, she has the smallest amount of blood in her nose when she sneezed, and hasnt had any more since. She was dazed for a few seconds, then rubbed against me, started purring, got some pets, then went and ate dinner. She is acting totally normal, I just want to be sure I can supervise her, and an immediate vet visit isnt needed. There are no bump or indents on the nose, may be slightly swollen if at all. the face around doesnt seem tender

Oh poor Stogie! If the bleeding has stopped and there is no swelling, I'd keep an eye on her for now. If you see swelling, the bleeding starts again, she stops eating, or becomes lethargic, then I would be worried and have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!
