Why does my cat shed so much despite daily brushing? What helps?

I have 4 cats but one of them (cinder) sheds more hair/fur than all the others combined. I can't even enjoy petting her without hair flying up everywhere. I brush her for ten minutes each day but she is still shedding like crazy. Why do some cats shed way more than others? What can I do to keep the shedding down? Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 6 lbs

There could be a medical reason why Cinder sheds so much such as stress, poor diet, allergies, or an infection. I'd have her checked out by a vet to make sure everything is ok health wise. Best of luck.
