Is a mosquito dip safe for my dog with his current flea/tick meds?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Can I use a dip that repels mosquitoes and other stuff is Trifexis didn't work and he still got fleas and he's just getting worse and he love the backyard and there's always rodents. Is it an overdose risk through his pores or not he switch to NexGard but it only kills ticks but the mosquito aspects is why I wanted to dip

That is odd that Trifexis did not work. That is usually a very good product. You definitely want to make sure your puppy is protected against heartworm as well. You may try switching To nextgard and hartgard. I do not recommend to use a dip for mosquitoes as it likely will not last very long. Instead you could use frontline in combination with the nexgard and hartgard. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
