My dog has dirty, red ears with bumps and dandruff. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 2 months and 13 days old | 25 lbs

Sorry the photo is a little blurry because it was hard to get her to sit still. I have noticed that her ears have been quite dirty in the inside even after I give her a bath & clean them. I also noticed that she started getting these little red bumps in her ear & well as her ear being red. She isn’t scratching her ears but she has dandruff al over her body despite the fact that I give her a Derm Cap pill each day and an oatmeal bath once a week. Is her ears okay? What to do about the dandruff?

Even though Mia is not scratching her ears I think it’s possible that she has an ear infection. I think you should see a veterinarian so they can examine her ear canals. The dandruff could be related to an allergy or other skin disease or may simply be normal for her if she doesn’t seem itchy.
