Why does my dog have spots on its nose? How do I get rid of them?

Pet's info: Dog | Puggle | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 25 lbs

My 1 year old puggle has 2 spots on her nose and my 2 year old lab has 1. What are they and how do I get rid of them.

Those two spots look like ingrown hairs or perhaps infected pores. Generally these lesions are benign and will go away on their own. You can try washing them daily and rinsing them well or your vet may carry some medicated wipes. Because they are on the muzzle topical ointments generally aren’t a good idea as the dogs will lick them off. Make sure to keep the food bowls cleaned on a weekly basis as well as any chew toys.
