Does Dawn dish soap or flea collars work for dog fleas and ticks?

Is it true that dawn liquid dish soap helps fight ticks, fleas and cleans a dog really well? Do you guys recommend flea collars? If so what brand and at what age can we start flea collars? Thanks! Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 2 months and 13 days old | 25 lbs

In my opinion systemic (oral) and spot on prescription products are the best and most effective ones. Liquid dish soap and collars are not that effective. I usually suggest collars only as repellents against certain type of insects as sand flies (Leishmania vectors).
