My dog has pus in his armpit. Can I treat it at home safely?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | neutered | 76 lbs

He has this under his armpit and my mom thinks it’s from GenOne topical Spray but I don’t spray it under there, it would go on his back legs because he would lick it. But, now it, his armpit, has pus coming out of it and she wants to put something called hypagence, I didn’t spell it right, but do you think that is safe? Plus she doesn’t want to take him to the vet so that wouldn’t even be a choice.

If there is pus that means it's infected, and Ghost would have to see a vet to get antibiotics to treat it. I don't believe this can be treated at home. Tell your mom you spoke to a vet who urged you to take him in. Best of luck.
