Blood in the urine can come from the bladder or the prostate. The fact that the blood went away and then returned means that there is still a problem. The prostate can get infections, tumors and abscesses. The bladder can have bacterial resistant infections, bladder stones or tumors. The next steps would be to have a prostate exam, a urine culture with a cystocentisis and potentially an ultrasound of the bladder and prostate. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
