My dog ate Suboxone. She's lethargic and not eating. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 7 days old | 30 lbs

My dog baby girl ate about a quarter of a 8mg suboxone strip. Around a hour and a half ago. She weighs 60 lbs. She is being really mellow moppy, dont want to eat or drink. Is she going to be okay without medical attention? Please help me

Hello. While this is a overdose, it was not massive & will not be life threatening. Baby Girl will be mopey & lethargic for a few more hours, but as long as she does not become non-responsive she should be fine. Suboxone generally does have a wide margin of safety. But if you cannot wake her, or she becomes extremely uncoordinated or dysphoric, please contact your veterinarian immediately. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
