My dog is throwing up and won't eat or drink. Is a vet visit needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 6 lbs

Winnie started vomiting around 3 am . Seems to be slowing down. Won't eat or drink at this time. Should I take her to a vet when they open

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Winnie. Yes, I recommend that she sees a veterinarian if she is still not eating and drinking. I worry that she will become dehydrated being such a small dog. Based on her exam findings, treatment can be recommended or diagnostics if necessary. For example, fluids can be given under the skin to rehydrate her and anti-nausea medication to control any further nausea and vomiting. I hope this information helps!
