My pet's hammocks stink! How do I wash them without strong smells?

Any advice on washing rockets pongy hammocks? They absolutely stink and I can’t use normal laundry detergent as it smells too much for them. And I haven’t got the time to hand wash everything! Pet's info: Small Animal | Rat | Male | neutered | 45 lbs

Hello. I assume you want to wash the hammocks in the regular laundry, but the resulting smell is too strong afterwards? Then, wash the hammocks in the laundry, but afterwards soak the hammocks in plain fresh water for 30 minutes or so. Dry the hammocks in the air ( preferably outdoors ) & not in a dryer. This will eliminate most of the fragrance remaining in the material. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
