My rat has a heart murmur. What's her lifespan & how can I help?

I was wondering the life expectancy of a female rat with a heart murmur. Our vet diagnosed her with a heart murmur about a month ago. Lately she seems to be slowing down. Still eating and drinking. She is about three and a half month old now and 200grams in weight. Is there anything I can do for her at home to help her live long and happy. She does have three sisters living with her. Pet's info: Small Animal | Rat | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 18 days old | 0.4 lbs

Hello. I am so sorry for this unfortunate diagnosis. Without know the extent of the murmur it is impossible to make a prediction of lifespan. Just like any creature with heart disease, decreasing stress, moderate exercise & lots of TLC are in order. Make sure she does not have to fight with her sisters for resources, as animals are acutely aware when there is a weakness among them.
