VetCo which offers a no appointment necessary walk in clinics at certain PetCo stores do offer heartworm tests which (according to their website) is $29.00 for the Heartworm only test. I do not believe there is an office visit fee. You may reach out to VetCo regarding your Revolution question and any other questions or concerns you may have regarding the VetCo clinics at 1-877-838-7468. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately, there are no veterinary clinics located in Petco stores in your area - yet. You can get vaccinations done at Vetco vaccination clinics, as well as heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Be sure you get Tars in before he is 6 months of age, and he won't need a heartworm test. He should also be dewormed against intestinal parasites. VETCO clinics that operate inside Petco stores don't currently provide any services in Hawaii. If you would like to post again with a more specific question then we can maybe help you more.

My almost 7 month old dog had her first round of shots at Petco on November 5th. She was supposed to get her booster for Canine 6-in-1 (DA2HPP+ Lepto) Vaccination on December 3rd but I forgot until today. If I go this Sunday, December 17th is that ok
No worries, it's easy to forget these things and happens all the time. It will be perfectly fine for her to get vaccinated anytime from now on and you can make an appointment for Sunday. Petco does test and treat for heartworm, so you will definitely be able to get that done at the same time as the vaccine. Just make sure to let the receptionist know that you will be requiring this as well when you make your appointment. I hope that helps and all is well with Cady.

Hello, & thank you for using Boop by Petco. We usually do a test where the antigen to heartworms can be quantified using a very small amount of blood. There are many companies that make these tests & they usually are less than $40 to run. The test only takes 10 minutes & shows either positive or negative. If a dog has a significant number of heartworms, sometimes you can see them directly in a drop of blood under a microscope. If the test comes back positive, depending on the overall health of your pet, we start therapy first with a round of the antibiotic Doxycycline, then we use a form of medical grade arsenic, injected into a muscle, either 2 or 3 times over a short course of time. This will kill any adult heartworm that are in the heart & in the vasculature in the lungs. It sounds pretty intense, but most dogs come through very, very nicely. I hope this helps. Take care.

I do not believe most locations do nail trims but you can call the store where the vaccine clinic is located to find out, often a groomer is affiliated within many of the stores and the groomer will do nail trims.
