Why are my dog's eyes watering and leaving crusty tear stains?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 2 months and 11 days old | 25 lbs

Why are my dogs eyes watering so much? I have to keep wiping her face because if not then the tears will harden on her fur.

There are many reasons for a dog to have excessive tearing from the eyes. Some possibilities: * allergies * clogged tear ducts * bacterial infection * glaucoma * uveitis Those are just a few reasons. I suggest you take Mia to your vet for an exam to make sure it isn't anything to be worried about. In the meantime you can use this eye gel to help soothe her eyes. Please don't use any human eye drops without checking with your vet first. ( ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.
