My puppy is limping after falling off my bed but she seems to not be in any pain when I grab her leg or as she’s walking. What should I do?

If it just started you can let her rest for a few days with minimal walking and minimal physical exercise, if it does not improve within 3-4 days you will have to take her to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, she might need pain killers for a few days. if the vet think it's something more serious such as a fracture, joint injury or foreign body, he might recommend to have an xray done as well.

Poor Sheba! Unfortunately, there are no over-the-counter human pain medications that are safe for use in dogs, especially a puppy this age. If she's not putting any weight at all on her paw, it would be best to have her checked by a vet today since something may be fractured - he/she can take x-rays if needed to help determine what's wrong, and will also prescribe a safe and effective pain medication to make her more comfortable.

Lucy should be taken to a veterinarian. She is most likely in pain. There are not good over the counter medications for dogs. Most human meds can cause problems in dogs. She should get an exam and possibly some x-rays. They can also get her on some pain medication. Thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

A muscle or ligament injury is possible. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately.
