My puppy has bloody diarrhea after hookworm medicine. Is it normal?

Yesterday my 10 month old puppy was diagnosed with hook works. The vet gave him pyrantel pamoate. Last night and today has bloody loose stools and diarrhea. Is this normal? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 months and 23 days old | 62 lbs
