My 12lb dog ate onion powder. Is it safe or toxic for his size?

Romeo may had a teaspoon or one egg with some onion powder. He’s 12 pounds. He has energy. He goes have diarrhea but not a lot. I am taking him to walk in clinic in the morning. Is that too much of onion powder for his weight? There’s no ER in my town for animals. Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 6 years and 1 month old | 12 lbs

Hello, thank you for your question about Romeo. Without knowing the exact amount of the onion powder it is hard to know if he will react to it. However, I think it is unlikely. Waiting until the morning to have Romeo seen should be fine based on what you are describing. Hope this helps!
