Why does my puppy have mucus in poop and hasn't pooped since?

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 8 days old | 6.5 lbs

My puppy had some mucus in her poop. She hasn't pooped since (about 4.5 hours ago). Is this something i need to be concerned about?

Hello, congratulations on your new pup. You don't need to rush into your veterinarian now, but I would recommend that you monitor her for any persistent mucus in her stools. Also monitor for loose stools, diarrhea, lethargy or a decreased appetite. Possible causes for this may include a dietary indiscretion, parasites, and less likely viral infections such as parvo virus. Continue to monitor her for any additional signs and if you note any then have her evaluated by your veterinarian. Hope this help and best of luck.
