My dog scratched eye after neuter, e-collar off. What to do?

I took my golden retriever to get neutered (double cryptorchid) a week ago. and he seems to be doing fine. But when I take his e collar off to feed him, he scratched at his left eye and turning the skin around it red. What can I do to help him? Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 70 lbs

I would recommend putting the e-collar back on and making an appointment to see your vet. I’d guess that if Rico can’t scratch his eye the redness should resolve, but it would be best to have your vet take a look and make sure no medications are necessary.
