Is a pregnant cat's cold life-threatening for her or her kittens?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 lbs

Can my soon to be pregnant cat due in one week possibly die due an untreated moderate to severe cold? I have no insurance and no money to take her to a local vet and am VERY concerned for her and her kittens.

That is difficult to say. We would have to have a diagnosis and its best that she is healthy and strong for the birth. She should be seen and also have her health checked just for being pregnant. If finances are tough, it would be best to get her spayed after she is done weaning the kittens.
