Kashis paws got dry, cracked, and raised after a couple really long, rough terrain walks. It's been raining lately so we havent taken him out and just today I put aquaphor as a substitute for vaseline on his pads to help heal them. Now the rain has stopped but of course the sidewalks are wet still. Is it okay for him to be walking on the wet concrete with his paws in that condition? What are the effects if he does? Any other input is very appreciated as well!

Yes, it is safe for him to walk on wet concrete as long as they are not cracked to the point of bleeding. I would recommend that you slather them with aquaphor first, then wash them off with water and mild soap when you get home, then re-apply the aquaphor. As long as you wash off any small pieces of debris that may get into the cracked areas and cause irritation, it will be fine. If the are severely cracked and bleeding or are painful when you touch them, he needs to see a vet. Otherwise, just keep doing what you're doing.
