My cat strains to poop and has a sore bum. What home remedies?

My cat has been straining a little bit with her stool the past day or so. Her bum area is a little bit raw from this and sore. I was wondering if there is anything over the counter that I can use to help soothe it? I read that polysporin is not good to use on cats but that Vaseline may be helpful. Do you have any tips? She is fine otherwise, completely normal. Only seems painful when she is trying to poop. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

You can encourage her to drink water from the faucet or a cat fountain. Offering canned food will help as well. Sometimes a small amount of canned pumpkin can ease bowel movements as well.
