Why are my puppy's eyes red, swollen, with green discharge & hair loss?

My puppy has red swollen eyes. Specifically on the left he has green discharge and his eyelids are losing hair. I think it’s viral conjunctivitis. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male

Hello. This could be conjunctivitis, but there are several other conditions that can cause this kind or irritation, including demodex mites. You do want to find out what this is because I am sure Kirby is uncomfortable. And, if he rubs his eyes the wrong way, he could wind up scratching his cornea making things worse.
