My puppy won't eat and is pooping often. Should I call the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 23 days old | 26 lbs

My puppy used to have 2 meals everyday, 1/2 cup of puppy dry food in the morning, and another 1/2 cup of dry food in the evening. But these two days, he seems like do not want to eat. Today he poop three times (just a little bit poop everytime) but still haven’t eat his breakfast. What should I do? Thank you so much!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Dudu. You can try adding some canned food or warm water to his dry kibble to make it more appealing for him. However, it is worrisome that he is not eating. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian to determine why he has experienced this abrupt change in appetite. He may need fecal testing to look for signs of an infection or inflammation in his GI tract. I hope this information helps!
