My dog's face is swollen and itchy; should I take him to the vet?

MY dog's face is swollen. He was very itchy the night before so I gave him a Benadryl before bed. Swelling went down a little but also moved to his ears. Which are sensitive to touch. His face was fine, but he wanted you to really scratch it more than usual. His behavior is not very different, just a little more tried About two days before he did something outside that caused a patch of his hair to be ripped off on his forehead. Could it be related? Swelling isno inthroat. Eating and drinking. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 7 years and 11 months old | 54 lbs

Poor Bruno! I'd be concerned he could be suffering from an allergic reaction. It could also possibly be from the injury he suffered two days before. I would take him into a vet now to get this checked out. Best of luck.
