Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old
My dog spins around nonstop only when my significant other comes near me. I am with her all day, and she receives a lot of attention from me. But it’s to the point where we have to face other directions, otherwise she will spin for hours, even when we sleep. I understand it’s a behavioral issue, but I don’t understand why she’s doing it? Do you know what the cause could be? Or how I could correct this issue?

That is definitely some sort of anxious behavior going on! It would probably be best at this point to speak with a veterinary behaviorist in your area, especially if Athena becomes so fixated that she repeats the behavior for hours. A veterinary behaviorist is a veterinarian specialized in behavior, so they can work with you on both training techniques to help reduce the behavior, and medications to help with anxiety while training takes place.
