How do I start deworming my 12-week-old puppy for the first time?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 10 lbs

We adopted a puppy from someone who failed to deworm he is 12 weeks. How do I start the deworming process since it hasn't been done.

Hello. Ideally, you should bring a sample of the stool to your vet for a through analysis. That way, anything unusual can be properly treated. But in the meantime, you can go to any pet retailer & pick up several safe & common dewormers such as Pyrantel pamoate, or Safeguard wormer. You will need to know how much Shadow weighs & then just follow the recommendations on the package. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
