My dog threw up. Is it from rich food or Heartgard medication?

Question

Threw up just a few minutes ago Light brown About 8 hrs ago she ate meat from potroast and some rice. Could this be from the food she ate earlier. She took a heart worm med yesyerday Heartgaurd so could this be a reaction to it? Please help. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 9 years and 3 months old | 13 lbs

Hi, yes it could be from the food that Baby has eaten Yesterday as this could have been too rich for a small dog like her. You can try offering water over the next 4-6 hours, small amounts little and often and then offer her some bland food, like chicken and rice or white fish and rice. Hope this helps !
