My dog has an ear infection. TrizUltra flush or MotaZol drops first?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 4 months old | 72.5 lbs

My dog Stan has bacteria in his ear. He was prescribed a cycle of prednisone, TrizUltra + keto flush once daily for 7 days, and MotaZol daily for 14-21 days. Could you explain how to use the Motazol and TrizUltra? More specifically, which one do I use first? Thank you

It is best to use the flush solution first to remove debris and previous medication from the ear canal first (triz ultra) before applying the motazol. Squeeze a small amount of flush in to the ear gently, massage the base, and then allow your pet to shake his head. Gently wipe out any debris/solution with cotton balls that was dislodged. Then you can apply the motazol. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
