My cat has lumps under her nipple. Should I take her to the vet now?

I have noticed my cat has got 2 lumps under her nipple would i need to book her an appointment at the vets ?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Princess. Yes, I would make an appointment for her to see her veterinarian right away. Cats, that have not been spayed, are very prone to developing mammary tumors. The majority of these tumors are unfortunately cancerous. If this appears to be the case, her veterinarian may recommend some testing or discuss surgery with you. I hope this information helps!

    Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Cats certainly can develop mammary cancer, & that is a suspicion with any lumps near the nipples. If you can have her seen before Saturday, then that would be great, just in case Missy needs to be on antibiotics. But I also would not be terribly concerned if you kept the Saturday appointment. That is still plenty of time to address the things if something needs to be done. Call your vet & explain that the lumps are getting larger quicker & hopefully they will get Missy in sooner, & you can see what is going on with her. Take care.
