Pet's info: Bird | Finch | Male | unneutered
Hi! My pet zebra finch has started to puff up and sleep more than usual today, he even regurgitated seeds. Yesterday I put some water in the seeds and emptied them so it can be easier to ingest some of the harder seeds, was this the cause? I threw them away this morning giving him new dry seeds. He's been lethargic for most of the time, but he eats and drinks water. Are there any home remedies I can give him? I don't have sufficient funds for a vet, please help.

Thanks for reaching out about Kai and including photos. There is no specific treatments at home without a diagnosis. But providing supplemental heat can give some support to the immune system. Possible wetting the food led to bacterial overgrowth and the clinical signs. Monitor appetite and defecation. Good luck.
